Pakistan is ready to ellect next prime minister. No prime minister in Pakistan's history haas complete full five years in office.

If this election goes smoothly, it will be the second civilian to civilian handover of power after a full term. The first was in 2013.


When is pakistan's election?

Wednesday, july 25. polling begins at 8am-6pm


Who's in the running?

 In four provinces, the fight will between Pakistan muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) party led by Nawaz sharif, and the opposition Pakistan tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) led by Imran khan.

The Pakistan peoples party (PPP), led by Bilawal Bhuto Zardari, is also expect to pick a seat in sindh as the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) which is religious party also expect to pick seat across the country.





When will the results be known?

Election results will announced by around 8pm but over all result will announce around 2am.


How dose vote work?

More then 100 million  eligible voters can cast their vote for two seats i.e one for National assembly and one for Provincial assembly.

Pakistan has four provinces: Sindh, Balouchistan, Punjab, Khyber pakhtunkhwa.

In total, there are 272 directly elected and 70 reserved National Assembly seats. A single party need to have at least 136 of directly elected seats to be able form the Government in Pakistan



What's expected?

PTI is expected to loss in Punjab province, its political hardle where half of seats are PML-N.

In Sindh province, the PPP is expected to hold power, but there is intristing fight for 21 seats in Karachi, the provincial capital and country's largest city

In Khyber pakhtunkhwa, there will tough ellection between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Awami National party (ANP)

In Balouchistan, country's largest but least population, the newly launched party, Balouchistan Awami party is expected to beat PML-N and MMA
